About Mia

Mia Park is a Korean-born artist based in New York.

Long before she thought of herself as an artist, she was simply drawn to beautiful moments. As a child, she would sit quietly in the kitchen watching her mother cook for hours, fascinated by the colors, movement, and care behind every meal. Around the same time, she began making small picture books for friends, discovering early on that images could tell stories just as deeply as words.

She later studied visual communication design at Seoul National University and worked in design and journalism before building another chapter of life in New York’s food and hospitality world.

Across different cities, careers, and seasons of life, art remained a quiet constant.

Today, her work is inspired by fashion, food, life between Korea and New York, and the emotional beauty hidden within ordinary moments. She is drawn to things that appear delicate yet carry unexpected strength: the first spring green after a long winter, a small ingredient that transforms an entire dish, or a passing comment from her son about a beautiful sunset.

Through Mia Park Studio, she creates illustrations, prints, paper goods, and accessories that celebrate color, character, and joy. Her hope is simple: to make everyday life feel a little warmer, brighter, and more beautiful.
